Accommodation in the villages along this trek is limited in places and varies from small village pensions to 3-star hotels, but all are comfortable and well-positioned for the route. Each accommodation will provide rooms with a private bathoom. Breakfast and dinner is included each night except on your last two nights whilst in Porto and Ajaccio where it is breakfast only as there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

We have personally stayed in or visited all of our accommodations. They have all been selected for their great locations, friendly atmosphere and traditional hospitality, as well as the warm welcome they offer to walkers. Below is a summary of our usual accommodations*.

Night 1: Corte

Ideally located in the heart of the city, this is known as one of Corte’s oldest hotels. Whilst recently renovated, the building still maintains its original charm. The Corsican Museum, Citadelle and train station are within walking distance.

Night 2: Calacuccia

The staff at this comfortable hotel are very pleasant and helpful. There are 28 rooms altogether and there is a separate TV lounge. The hotel does not provide food therefore your meals are taken in the restaurant opposite, which works closely with the hotel and has an excellent reputation.

Nights 3 & 4: Castel di Vergio

This hotel is at the crossroads with the GR20 (a north-south route along the spine of the island). The 29 rooms are large, many with a balcony and mountain view.

Night 5: Evisa

A pleasant family run, hotel situated at the end of the village. All 28 rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. There is a swimming pool on a terrace with spectacular mountain views available during high season.

Night 6: Porto

Located near the port of this beautiful harbour town, this delightful 3* offers balconies in all of the rooms either with a seaside or village view. You are free to choose from the many good restaurants in town for dinner.

Night 7: Ajaccio

This charming hotel is an old town-house situated on the main street of Ajaccio, within 400m of the sea. It is also convenient for the Rue Fesch, the road that leads to the citadel and the old town. You are free to choose from the many good restaurants in town for dinner.

Occasionally, due to limited availability or refurbishments, we may have to accommodate you into alternative accommodations which are not listed in the above description. If those listed are unavailable, the alternative accommodation will be of the same or better standard than those described.
