Lycian Way - East

You have a choice of standard or higher graded hotels on this trek, but on night 1 it is the same. Each hotel is locally owned and you will enjoy renowned Turkish hospitality. English is not well spoken in every hotel*. You stay each night in rooms with your own private bathroom and W.C. Dinner and traditional breakfast will feature many Turkish specialties, including local fish and meat. The breakfast will normally feature local olives, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, jams and eggs together with warm bread and honey.

* Local English speaking assistance is always available.

Night 1 - Both Grades - You start in a small pension. You stay in bungalows/chalet set in its own extensive grounds, it is a secluded bay from where you can take a cooling swim. Dinner is made with locally grown vegetables and poultry. Both grades use this hotel

Night 2 & 3  - Standard Grade - This hotel has only 15 rooms and has been recently purpose built. Most rooms have balconies with views to the sea in the distance. Each room has a shower as opposed to a bath. Dinner uses local products and it may be freshwater trout from the owner’s pool taken in nearby treetop restaurant. Breakfast is a Turkish village-style breakfast.

Night 2 & 3 - Higher Grade - This hotel has only 6 rooms, in a pretty three story building. There is a restaurant and bar, pool and sun terraces.  Rooms are suite style with bathroom  shower only.  There is a bedroom and sitting room with TV leading out to a balcony with table and chairs.  Dinner is served in a European style with four courses prepared by the owner's wife.  Breakfast can be taken on the terrace and is a Turkish delight!

Night 4 & 5 - Standard Grade -    This hotel is a collection of bungalows opened in 2007. The bungalows have double or twin beds, a sitting area and bathroom with walk in shower and hairdryer. Each bungalow has a small terrace with table and chairs. Dinner is buffet with plenty of Turkish vegetable dishes to accompany whatever is being cooked outside on the grill. Tea is available all day long for guests to help themselves to.  Breakfast follows the same format and eggs are served boiled, fried or omeletted. English is limited.  The hotel has its own section of beach with sunloungers and umbrellas 

Night 4 & 5 - Higher Grade -  This modern boutique hotel is one of the largest buildings in Cirali but still only has 7 rooms. Each room decorated with personal style and taste. They are large rooms, some with balcony looking over the garden abundant with trees and exotic flowers. Also with a vegetable garden whose produce is served with the typical Turkish dinner often taken on the terrace with its panoramic views. Breakfast is buffet with mostly local products.

Night 6 - Standard Grade - Your hotel is located by a small river and is reached by footbridge from the road. The Lycian way passes by the hotel. Each of the 20 rooms have balcony and air conditioning. You can take dinner inside or outside on the terrace by the river.

Night 6 - Higher Grade -You are located only a 10 minute walk from the beach or you can use the hotel swimming pool for a cooling dip at the end of your walking day. There are 16 spacious rooms all with their own balcony, view to the sea or mountains, and air conditioning. You will dine in the roof top restaurant with superb home cooking. Breakfast is taken downstairs.

Night 7 - Standard Grade - Centrally located in a narrow street in the old town, convenient for all the historical sights, harbour and restaurants. A converted Ottoman mansion with side buildings, the main house is packed with antiquities and paintings and opens to a lovely courtyard garden.  Rooms are in typical Turkish style with lace panels at the windows and Kilim rugs of the wooden floors. Breakfast is served in the courtyard. Dinner is left to you to enjoy one of the harbour restaurants.

Night 7 - Higher Grade - Located is in the old part of town within a short walk of the original city walls, this ‘boutique’ hotel is a real find. Traditional decoration. Attentive staff. Air conditioning and overhead fan in room. Small swimming pool in centre of courtyard. Dinner is left to you to enjoy in one of the harbour restaurants. Breakfast is a traditional Turkish buffet.
