Outer Mani Trek

Your hotels and pensions (guest houses) are all comfortable family run establishments. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms. They provide a buffet style breakfast and a locally cooked dinner for the first 3 nights, then you are free to choose from local tavernas for dinner, with breakfast included by the hotel. They have been selected for their location and their filoxenia (friendliness and hospitality to strangers).

We have personally stayed in or visited all of our accommodations. They have all been selected for their great locations, friendly atmosphere and traditional hospitality, as well as the warm welcome they offer to walkers. Below is a summary of our usual accommodations*.

On this trek, the accommodations are mostly small and family-run, all rooms have a private bathroom.

Nights 1,2 & 3: Kardamili

Just a short distance from Kardamili Beach, these lovely apartments offer a welcome stay in the Peloponnese.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone and private bathroom with WC and shower/bath.

Nights 4 & 5: Agios Nikolaos

Set in the picturesque fishing village of Agios Nikolaos, just a stone's throw from the beach, this cosy inn offers comfortable accommodation with beautiful views to the mountains. Relax in the swimming pool and enjoy a traditional Greek breakfast.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone, air conditioning and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath and hairdryer.

Night 6: Nea Oitylo

This boutique hotel boasts a beachfront location, right in the middle of the beautiful bay of Itilo. All 40 rooms are decorated in natural tones to reflect country chic and make you feel right at home. Enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and a local breakfast at their onsite restaurant.

Night 7: Kalamata

Centrally located in Kalamata, close to the beach, this elegant hotel has 76 comfortable rooms and suites. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and dinner at their onsite restaurant alongside a drink to end the night at the Pharae Palace bar.

We will always endeavour to use the accommodations detailed above. Occasionally, due to limited availability or refurbishments, we may have to accommodate you into alternative accommodations which are not listed in the above description. If those listed are unavailable, the alternative accommodation will be of the same or better standard than those described.
