The hotels are small and family-run. All rooms have private bathroom, mostly with showers. You will be assured of dinner with local specialities and buffet-style continental breakfasts.
We have personally stayed in or visited all of our accommodations. They have all been selected for their great locations, friendly atmosphere and traditional hospitality, as well as the warm welcome they offer to walkers. Below is a summary of our usual accommodations*.
On this trek, the accommodations are mostly small and family-run, all rooms have a private bathroom.
Night 1: Argeles-Gazost
This family run hotel, is located just 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre and has a huge garden to relax in. There is also an outdoor spa-jacuzzi and cosy restaurant which serves local produce.
All 33 rooms in the hotel feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone and private bathroom with WC, shower, bath and hairdryer.
Night 2: Pierrefitte
This magnificent hotel was built in 1903 and required 5 years of work to restore it to its full glory. Delight at the smell of beeswax in these elegant, spacious rooms with high-quality woodwork. A cosy lounge is also available for you to socialise or relax. You will be served meals in the stylish restaurant, there is also billiard room.
All 21 rooms in the hotel feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone, minibar and private bathroom with WC, shower, bath and hairdryer.
Nights 3 & 4: Luz St Sauveur
Overlooking the Gave de Bastian river this 19thcentury hotel is located in the centre of the traditional village of Luz. The traditional restaurant serves local cuisine and you can enjoy fantastic views of the Barèges valley and the Pic du Midi for the outdoor terrace.

Night 5: Gedre
Located in the centre of the village, this hotel has been in the same family for three generations and has excellent views from most of the rooms. A cosy, elegant lounge and sauna await you after a long days’ walk. There reputable restaurant serves delicious French cuisine.

Nights 6 & 7: Gavarnie
Situated in the Pyrenees National Park and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cirque de Gavarnie this charming hotel has 20 lovely rooms. The restaurant and separate bar are attractively decorated.

Occasionally, due to limited availability or refurbishments, we may have to accommodate you into alternative accommodations which are not listed in the above description.
