The hotels are mostly small family run hotels all 3*.  All rooms have private bathroom, mostly with showers. You will be assured of dinner with local specialities and buffet continental breakfasts.

We have personally stayed in or visited all of our accommodations. They have all been selected for their great locations, friendly atmosphere and traditional hospitality, as well as the warm welcome they offer to walkers. Below is a summary of our usual accommodations*.

On this trek, the accommodations are mostly small and family-run, all rooms have a private bathroom.

Nights 1 & 6: Garmisch

Located just opposite the train station and Zugspitze mountain railway, this 3* hotel boasts comfortable, bright rooms all within a traditional Alpine style. Some rooms have balconies with views over the mountains.

All rooms feature payable Wi-Fi (free in reception), television, telephone and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath & hairdryer.

Night 2: Mittenwald

This historic 4* hotel offers a spa with indoor pool and spacious rooms with country style décor, some rooms also have mountain views. You can enjoy traditional Bavarian cuisine whilst out on the terrace.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone, air conditioning and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath & hairdryer.

Nights 3 & 4: Weidach

Surrounded by mountains this delightful 3* family run hotel offers spacious rooms as well as a free toboggan and bicycle hire. The local public swimming pool is just 5 minutes’ walk away and is free of charge in summer.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone, air conditioning and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath & hairdryer.

Night 5: Ehrwald

Centrally located in this charming Alpine village, this family run 3* hotel offers a spa area featuring a sauna, steam room and gym. Their cosy modern restaurant serves delicious local dishes.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, television, telephone, air conditioning and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath & hairdryer.

We will always endeavour to use the accommodations detailed above. Occasionally, due to limited availability or refurbishments, we may have to accommodate you into alternative accommodations which are not listed in the above description. If those listed are unavailable, the alternative accommodation will be of the same or better standard than those described.
