What to Take on a Walking Holiday: Your Packing Guide

You have booked your walking holiday, you are starting to prepare for it and now you are wondering what to pack...
The most important element of preparation to influence your comfort on your walking holiday ahead, is to know what to pack!
Here’s a small guide of the essentials to pack for your walking holiday:
Strong well run-in walking boots with good tread - You’ll be wearing them most of the day every day, so they will need to be comfortable
Well fitted walking socks and warm socks
Warm pullover or fleece jacket
Warm hat
Rain coat - The reality is that weather can change quickly so a light rain coat that can easily be rolled up and placed in your backpack will definitely come in handy!
Day rucksack
Drinks container (if you do not want to buy bottled water)
Suncream, lipsol, sun hat and sun glasses – Hopefully the sun will be making an appearance on your walk!
Camera and charger - Whatever walking holiday you decide to take you’re guaranteed to be met with some spectacular photo opportunities!
Small torch
Binoculars
Walking poles (useful)
Mobile phone (programme in local emergency number)
First aid kit
Dictionary/phrasebook
And don’t forget your sense of humour!
